The National Technology Transfer Center at Wheeling Jesuit University is proud to announce the 2008 International Mining Health and Safety Symposium. This year’s symposium will be held in Salt Lake City, UT on July 20-22. The Symposium is sponsored by MSHA, NIOSH, UMWA, The State of Utah, Utah Labor Commission, and the Utah Mining Association.

While agenda details are still being finalized, the format will include speaker panels as well as vendor exhibits. As you are all aware, the tragic events at Crandall Canyon focused attention on the issues of bounces and bumps in mine settings
