As the current director Mr. David C. Goss pursues retirement, the American Coal Ash Association, a 501(c) 6 organization is searching for a new Executive Director who would lead both the Association and its Educational Foundation, a 501 (c) 3 organization. The ACAA, established in 1967, represents 122 member companies who comprise a multi-billion-dollar industry and are united to promote and increase the use of Coal Combustion Products or “CCPs.”
The Executive Director will advise and serve the Board of Directors with respect to the strategic direction, policies, operations and activities of the Association. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: developing an annual program plan and budget that supports achieving ACAA’s mission; hiring and managing key professional personnel; maintaining the Association and Foundation’s non-profit status; working with officers and committee chairs to develop and support programs in the areas of technical standards, communications and marketing, government relations, membership, education, outreach, and research. This person will serve as the primary spokesperson and maintain positive relationships among staff and all stakeholders including other associations, industry, government agencies, public service organizations, vendors, news media, and others as necessary. The Executive Director also serves as President of the ACAA Educational Foundation and works with the foundation’s Board of Directors.
