Wanted! Candidates for 2010 ACC Board of Directors

Nominations are being accepted for the 2010 Board of Directors. Nominations must be received in the ACC office no later than 5:00 pm Eastern, Monday, August 31st, 2009 and Applications must be received in the ACC office no later than 5:00 pm Tuesday, September 1st, 2009.

The following positions are open:

Coal Suppliers
- One 3-year term, expiring year-end 2012
Coal Consumers
- One 3-year term, expiring year-end 2012
Energy Traders
- One 3-year term, expiring year-end 2012
Transportation
- One 3-year term, expiring year-end 2012
Coal Support Services
- One 3-year term, expiring year-end 2012

Directors will be elected at the 2009 Annual Business Meeting to be held Tuesday, October 13th, 4:30-5:15 p.m. at the Loews Lake Las Vegas Resort in Lake Las Vegas, Nevada. The ACC’s 2010 Board of Directors will begin serving their term on January 1st, 2010.

The 2009 Board of Directors has established the above-noted varied terms of service to effect an efficient rotation of Board members, provide for Board openings in all membership categories each year and ensure a Board composition that includes both new and experienced Board members. Board members are charged with overseeing the property, affairs, finances, activities and strategic direction of the ACC. The Board meets three-four times a year ~ January 2010 (date and location TBD), June 2010 (via conference call) and two meetings scheduled to coincide with the ACC’s Spring Coal Forum (March 2010-Tampa) and Coal Market Strategies Conference (October 2010-Tucson).
